1. Casey, what would you say is the hardest part about being a NASCAR driver? Would it be the media obligations, the actual racing, the pressure? Cabriogirl18, Nothing is really hard to me about being a NASCAR driver. I do get tired of having to be on a plane all the time though. 2. Hey Casey. Im really involved in off road racing. Would you ever want to race a trophy truck out here? I mean, I’m sure you and Robby, or another one of the big dogs out here could get something together….Nick, sure I’d really like to race a Trophy Truck if I had the time. It would be cool. 3. Casey, How was the switch from Ganassi racing to Hendrick racing, also going from Dodge to Chevy? Ann, the switch has been great and I enjoy working w/Chevy. 4. If you were playing the nascar video game and you could not choose yourself as the driver, what driver†would you pick and why? Amy, I had to think about this as I can’t think of any race car driver I’d want to be but myself. However, I know what a great driver Cale Yarborough was so I’d have to say I’d be Cale. 5. My question is, do you ever get any down time or meditation time before a race and if so, what do you do during this time? Do you have any special rituals you do before every race or piece of clothing that you consider lucky so you have to wear it for every race? Denise, I really don’t have any rituals. I like going out to he Sov. Trailer to sign autographs and after I do some appearances and race duties (driver’s meetings etc.) I come back to my coach, have a little something to eat and relax. 6. What's your favorite Kelloggs cereal? Amanda, my favorite Kelloggs cereal is Special K. 7. If it were your last Daytona 500 and it came down to winning the Daytona 500 and wrecking another driver ( not a teammate) or finishing 2nd and not wrecking them and never winning one what would you do? Leslie, WRECK’UM! 8. You obviously have a wonderful relationship with your parents.† What's the most important lesson that they've taught you, either as a couple or individually? Fran, They taught me a lot of lessons but one of the biggest one is probably not to forget where I came from. 9. Is there a movie you have seen so many times, you can recite it line by line? Jocelyn, Tombstone, I really like this movie. 10. What's your favorite animal? And will you be racing any Nationwide races as you know of? Love Kera the girl who has your breast cancer helment! Hi Kera, how are you and how’s that helmet?!! I would have to say my favorite animal would be a Tiger or Lion. As of right now it doesn’t look like I will be running any Nationwide races which is my choice as I want to concentrate this year on the Chase. 11. I have always wondered why we never see Casey in commercials. He has a very good camera presence.† And also is there any plan for him to do commercials in the future? Sarah, Dana, and Teri: Never have been really asked to do commercials. However, I have done two commercials this year. One radio commercial for Cheese-ets and one TV commercial for Q from Quaker State. 12. Casey - What are some of the nicest and/or coolest things†you have†gotten from your fans over the years? Jen, what comes to mind is the album my fans did where they each took a page and designed it themselves. That was cool.† 13. Do you get the same feeling (G's against your body) on the bottom of the track compared to riding at the outside(top) of the track? Gail, depends on the track but really id doesn’t change a whole lot. 14. If you were stranded on a deserted island--what is the one gadget you would want with you?? Betsey, the gadget I would want with me is a Satellite Phone so I could call for help! 15. When traveling, do you leave the track to enjoy the local foods?† Or stay at the track? Amanda, it depends on the track. I’ve done both stayed at my coach and once in a while gone out if I know of a good restaurant. 16. If your family didn't have a background in racing and you, yourself didn't race, what do you think you would you be doing today? Colleen from Michigan...see you in June!!! I’d have a rental equipment (boogie boards, surf boards, etc.) business on a beach somewhere in Hawaii! 17. If there were one thing you could change about NASCAR, what would it be? Heather, It would be great if NASCAR let us wear shorts and flipflops in the garage/pits. 18. Do you still have your cats and if so, do you ever take them with you to the races? Ryan, yes, I still have my cats. I don’t take them to the races. They like going to my Mom’s when I’m out of town. 9. If you could race a Cup car anywhere outside of North America, where would it be? Nathan, I visited Italy one time and thought it was pretty cool so maybe having a race there would be fun. 20. We know you and Jimmie have known each other since you were kids, but at one point your careers were on completely different paths. Did you guys stay in touch alot during that period? When you were considering the move to the NASCAR Busch series, Jimmie was just moving into the Cup series, did you seek his input and if so, how much influence did he have on helping you make that decision? Carol, Jimmie and I have never lost touch. Actually my Dad and Uncle Rick really are the ones that influenced me to make my decision but once I made it I really leaned on Jimmie with a lot of questions.
